New York made Richburg a second-round draft pick out of Colorado State in 2014. He spent four seasons with the Giants and started 50 of his 51 game appearances during that time. Last season, Richburg was placed on injured reserve after just four games due to a concussion. In the three years before 2017, he started at least 15 games in each season
.Richburg was the second-highest graded center in 2015, according to Pro Football Focus.
