Pringle transferred from Kansas' Butler Community College to Kansas State in 2016. In two seasons with the Wildcats, he registered 69 receptions for 1,355 yards with 10 touchdowns, according to Sports Reference. In 2016, Pringle finished seventh in FBS with 28.7 yards per kick return on special teams. Last year, he recorded 30 catches for 724 yards (24.1 yards per receptions) with six touchdowns.
At the NFL Scouting Combine, the 6-foot-2 and 205-pound Pringle had a 40-time of 4.46 seconds, a vertical jump of 33.5 inches, a broad jump of 120 inches, completed the three-cone drill in 6.87 seconds, had 15 reps in the bench press, and a 20-yard shuttle time of 4.40 seconds.
NFL.com projects that Pringle will be selected late during Day 3 of the draft.
Lance Zierlein of NFL Media, who compares Pringle to Leonte Carroo, had the following to say in his scouting report:
"Pringle will be a 25-year-old rookie come November thanks to a college pathway that was clogged by criminal indiscretions. By all accounts, he is a new man, but NFL evaluators will make their own determinations. Pringle improved from last season to this one and showed an ability to create separation down the field, but he'll have to prove he can have that he can defeat press coverage on the pro level. Pringle is a physical receiver with downfield potential, but is primarily a developmental prospect at this stage."
