The San Francisco 49ers were among several teams to meet with Cincinnati wide receiver Devin Gray, according to Tony Pauline of Draft Analyst. He participated in the Bearcats' pro day on Wednesday.

"Receiver Devin Gray timed 4.42s in the forty, 3.98s in the short shuttle, 6.92s 3 cone while touching 36 inches in the vertical jump," wrote Pauline. "Over the past two days, he met with the Pittsburgh Steelers, New Orleans Saints, Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers."

Gray transferred from Sierra College in Rocklin, California. In 2016, he recorded 58 receptions for 860 yards with five touchdowns. Gray finished 2017 as the third-leading receiver for the Bearcats, registering 28 catches for 444 receiving yards with three touchdowns as a senior.

The 49ers have drafted a wide receiver in each of the past 15 years and signed three as undrafted free agents immediately following last year's draft, including Victor Bolden and Kendrick Bourne. The team also invited seven receivers for a rookie minicamp tryout.
