"Gono, who started one year at left tackle and three on the right side, measured 6-4/316 pounds, completed 26 reps on the bench press, touched 9-feet-10-inches in the broad jump and timed 5.10s in the forty," wrote Pauline. "Those numbers are significantly better than the ones posted at the combine by Jamil Demby of Maine.
"Gono, who we presently grade at guard, is doing a private workout for the San Francisco 49ers and has official visits set up with the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions. He's the type of small school prospect who could make a roster this fall as a back-up for any of the three interior blocking positions."
Pauline reports that 20 teams flocked to Wesley College to watch Gono, which is a significant number for the smaller program.
"You see all those teams here — Jaguars, Bears, Lions — and I'm excited for him, I'm excited for our program," said head coach Mike Drass via the Delaware State News. "Our whole team was out here watching everything. That's a lot of fun."
Pauline, along with other draft analysts, grade Gono as a priority undrafted free agent signing.
