Daniels also has visits planned with the Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Rams, Chicago Bears, Carolina Panthers, Philadelphia Eagles, and others.
Daniels has experience playing guard and center. He started two games as a true freshman in 2015 at left guard for the Hawkeyes. Iowa coaches moved him to center where he started 11 games in 2016 and 12 games in 2017.
At the NFL Scouting Combine, the 6-foot-3 and 295-pound Daniels had a vertical jump of 30.5 inches, a broad jump of 108 inches, completed the three-cone drill in 7.29 seconds, had 21 reps in the bench press, and a 20-yard shuttle time of 4.40 seconds. Other measurables for Daniels include an arm length of 33 3/4 inches and hands that measure 9 1/2 inches.
NFL.com projects that Daniels will be a first- or second-round pick in April's draft.
Lance Zierlein of NFL Media, who compares Daniels to Chris Chester, had the following to say in his scouting report:
"Daniels is a fluid mover with tremendous initial quickness to win positioning on most every zone block he's asked to make -- both on the first and second levels. His height, weight and arm length numbers at the Combine will be critical in either solidifying his draft slot or potentially dropping him a round. Some teams might see him as a zone-only center, but he may be strong enough to fit in with other blocking schemes. He needs to get stronger, but he's a plus run blocker and pass protector with a chance to become a Pro Bowl starter."
