The San Francisco 49ers recently conducted a workout with cornerback Isaiah Oliver from Colorado, according to a report by the Sacramento Bee.

In three seasons with the Buffaloes, Oliver registered 82 combined tackles, 24 passes defensed, three interceptions, and a forced fumble in 31 games, per Sports Reference. He started twice in 2016 but played behind current 49ers cornerback and 2017 draft pick, Ahkello Witherspoon, while also working as a punt returner for a portion of the season. During Oliver's junior year in 2017, he recorded 26 combined tackles, two interceptions, and 12 passes defensed in 10 games, which earned him first-team All-Pac-12 honors.

"He also has nearly 34-inch arms, which is extremely long -- and coveted -- at the position," wrote Barrows. "The problem is that he's unlikely to be available when the 49ers pick in the second round."

At the NFL Scouting Combine, the 6-foot and 201-pound Oliver had a 40-time of 4.5 seconds. Other measurables for Oliver include an arm length of 33 1/2 inches and hands that measure 9 3/4 inches.

NFL.com projects Oliver to be a first- or second-round draft pick.

Oliver ranks as NFL.com analyst Daniel Jeremiah's 32nd-best prospect heading into the draft. He wrote the following about the cornerback within his top 50 prospects list:

"Oliver has excellent size, length and speed for the position. He's at his best in press coverage. He shoots his hands and re-routes wide receivers before staying on their hip down the field. He has plenty of speed to carry vertical routes. From off coverage, he has some stiffness when he has to open up and change directions. He has good ball awareness down the field (see: pass breakup against UCLA). I love his aggressiveness and physicality in the running game. He fights through blocks and he's a reliable tackler in space. Oliver has the ideal skill set to thrive as a press cornerback at the next level. He needs to improve his flexibility and transition movement in off coverage."

Lance Zierlein of NFL.com, who compares Oliver to Artie Burns, wrote the following within his scouting report:

"Oliver possesses an outstanding combination of size, speed and length and those traits are highly coveted by NFL general managers. There are coverage holes in Oliver's game and he needs to play with increased toughness, but he's just scratching the surface of what his talent could allow him to do on the next level with more experience and technique work. Oliver has a high ceiling as a bump-and-run, lockdown corner, but might benefit from a limited role his rookie season."
