Parker earned MEAC Offensive Lineman of the Year honors in 2015 while starting all 12 games for the Aggies and then repeated as the award recipient in 2016 and 2017. As a senior he also earned first-team FCS All-American honors from the Associated Press.

At the NFL Scouting Combine, the 6-foot-7 and 314-pound Parker had a 40-time of 5.4 seconds, a vertical jump of 28.5 inches, a broad jump of 113 inches, completed the three-cone drill in 7.82 seconds, and a 20-yard shuttle time of 4.68 seconds.
NFL.com projects Parker to be a fourth- or fifth-round draft pick.
Lance Zierlein of NFL.com, who compares Parker to Jylan Ware, wrote the following within his scouting report:
"Parker's high center of gravity creates some athletic challenges for him, but he possesses the physical traits that teams are willing to draft and coach up. Despite his college experience, Parker is a bit of a project who will need to continue to work on his technique and core strength before he is ready to handle NFL pass rushers. Parker plays a high priority position with a limited talent pool this season and should go earlier than the tape dictates."
