In just two days, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will begin announcing the selections for each NFL team during Day 1 of the 2018 NFL Draft. The San Francisco 49ers are currently slated to select with the ninth-overall pick.

Following their first-round selection (or selections should there be any trades like last year), the task of reading the 49ers' picks will fall on special guests. San Francisco currently owns the 59th-overall selection in the second round. Announcing that pick will be former 49ers safety Merton Hanks, who is currently the Senior Associate Commissioner for Conference USA.

For the team's third-round pick, which is the 70th overall, former 49ers cornerback Nate Clements will make the announcement. The 49ers currently have two third-round selections with the second coming four picks later.

As for Day 3, teams will announce their selections from special locations of their choosing. For the 49ers, the selections will be made from Lucusfilm by the director of the upcoming "Solo: A Star Wars Story" film, Ron Howard. Also included are Chewbacca, stormtroopers, R2-D2, and the SFPAL 49ers Prep Flag Football Team, according to a press release from the league.
