Every year, NFL Network reveals its list of the top 100 players in the league. This list is different from the countless other ones from various media outlets because of how the voting process takes place.

During the offseason, NFL players vote on their peers based on performance during the previous year and predicted performance during the upcoming season. The list, which is in its eighth season on NFL Network, debuted on Monday.

The first San Francisco 49ers player revealed on the list is quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who came in ranked at No. 90.

Garoppolo was acquired by the 49ers via a trade with the New England Patriots on October 30, 2017. In five starts and six game appearances with the 49ers in 2017, he completed 120-of-178 pass attempts for 1,560 yards, seven touchdowns, five interceptions, a passer rating of 96.2, and even had a rushing touchdown. Garoppolo won all five of his starts last year, which increased his NFL record as a starting quarterback to a perfect 7-0.

The 49ers signed Garoppolo to a five-year deal on February 8 worth up to $137.5 million. He is entering his first offseason within head coach Kyle Shanahan's offense.

Garoppolo probably did not watch his name called on NFL Network. He is at the San Jose Shark's Game 3 playoff matchup against the Las Vegas Golden Knights at the SAP Center. As Shanahan did nearly two weeks ago, Garoppolo opened the doors for Sharks players to kick off the game.

So far, NFL Network has only revealed the players ranked No. 81 through No. 100. While no 49ers players appeared on the list last year, former Niners Delanie Walker (No. 75) and Alex Smith (No. 81) made the ranking.
