Free agent defensive tackle Terrell McClain is visiting with the San Francisco 49ers on Monday, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The Washington Redskins released McClain after the draft. He signed a four-year deal worth up to $21 million with Washington last year and accounted for 20 combined tackles and two of the team's sacks in 2017.

In seven NFL seasons, McClain has appeared in 74 games with 29 starts for five different teams. The Carolina Panthers made him a third-round selection out of South Florida in 2011. McClain has registered 110 combined tackles, 6.5 sacks, and three forced fumbles over his career.

Before his time in Washington, McClain spent three seasons with the Dallas Cowboys after time with the Houston Texans, New England Patriots, and Panthers. He started 15 games for Dallas in 2016 and had 40 tackles with 2.5 sacks that year.
