The five other NFL teams in attendance were the Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, and Chicago Bears.
This week, Ugwoegbu declared himself available for July 11's NFL supplemental draft. The 20-game starter for the Beavers registered 109 combined tackles, 15.5 for a loss, seven sacks, four passes defensed, a forced fumble, and three fumble recoveries over the last two seasons, according to Sports Reference. He missed three games in 2017 but still had 55 tackles and a sack.
Ugwoegbu, who was prepping for his senior year with Oregon State, was suspended indefinitely this spring. He did not participate in the Beavers' spring practice, and a school spokesman said the linebacker left the program for personal reasons.
Representatives from the 49ers also attended the workouts of Virginia Tech cornerback Adonis Alexander on June 20 and Mississippi State safety Brandon Bryant on June 25.
Teams can bid on players in the NFL supplemental draft on July 11. The bids will be in the form of 2019 draft picks. Since draft positioning will not be finalized until the end of the upcoming season, teams need only indicate which round they would select a prospect. The club with the winning bid receives the rights to the player but loses the corresponding selection next year.
No player has been picked in the supplemental draft since the then-St. Louis Rams won former Clemson offensive lineman Isaiah Battle in 2015 with a fifth-round selection bid.
