All three players felt their speed rating within the game should have been higher. Safety Adrian Colbert tweeted to 49ers assistant strength and conditioning coach Shane Wallen with a suggestion.
What is interesting is that EA Sports' official Madden NFL Twitter account replied and asked (most likely jokingly) to see the film.
Safety Jaquiski Tartt replied to Colbert and EA Sports regarding his own speed rating.
"Let's race," Colbert replied to Tartt. "I'll give you a head start too."
Then there was rookie cornerback D.J. Reed, who also was not fond of his speed rating.
Again, EA Sports' Madden NFL Twitter account responded by asking, "What should it be?"
Below are the Madden NFL 19 ratings for all three defensive backs along with their speed ratings.
Player | Pos | Overall | Speed |
Jaquiski Tartt | SS | 83 | 89 |
Adrian Colbert | FS | 77 | 90 |
D.J. Reed | CB | 68 | 89 |
