The San Francisco 49ers' new all-white alternate uniforms, which are inspired by the fan-favorite throwbacks worn during the 1994 Super Bowl season, will be worn during the team's Week 7 contest against the Los Angeles Rams at Levi's Stadium. The Sunday Night Football matchup will be played on October 21 (tickets available here) with a scheduled kickoff of 5:20 p.m.

The 49ers announced in May that players will wear the new uniforms for one home game during the 2018 season.

The 49ers unveiled the new design at the team's State of the Franchise event on May 23. The uniforms replace – at least for one season – the team's all-black alternates that featured red player names and numbers. The former alternates debuted in 2015 and had been worn in games five times since. The team isn't necessarily doing away with the darker jerseys.

"Those uniforms will remain available for the team to wear in the future," a team spokesman said in May.

Fans can purchase their own all-white jerseys from the 49ers' official online store.
