It was reported by 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan that star free agent cornerback Richard Sherman has been 100% medically cleared for training camp.
Back in March, Sherman agreed to a three year, $27.15 million contract. Betting on himself in a big way, Sherman would only be paid a $2 million roster bonus if he was medically cleared before training camp from an Achilles tear suffered in 2017.
The day has come and now cleared, Sherman is $2 million richer, which serves as a big vote of self confidence that has paid off in a big way for Sherman.
Getting Sherman back at full health before camp even starts could be a tremendous help for the defense moving forward.
