The San Francisco 49ers beat the Detroit Lions 30-27 at Levi's Stadium on Sunday and improved to 1-1 on the season.

Below is a mix of key player and team stats provided by the NFL, the 49ers, and Pro Football Focus.

Key Player Statistics

Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo completed 18-of-26 pass attempts for 206 yards with two touchdowns and a passer rating of 118.4, which is his highest rating with the 49ers and second-highest of his career (minimum 10 attempts; 135.4 vs. Maimi in 2016).

Despite being sacked by the Lions six times, Garoppolo was under pressure on only nine of his 33 dropbacks.

Running back Matt Breida rushed for a career-high 138 yards with one touchdown on 11 carries. It was the second-year player's first career game with 100-or-more rushing yards. Breida also had three receptions for 21 yards.

Breida's 138 rushing yards are the most in a single game for any player this season.

Breida's 12.5 yards per run is the third-best single-game rushing average in franchise history with a minimum of 10 attempts (Joe Perry, 13.4 vs. Det. on 11/2/58; Frank Gore, 12.9 vs. Sea. on 9/20/09).

Breida's 66-yard touchdown run was the longest in franchise history since quarterback Colin Kaepernick recorded a 90-yard touchdown run against the San Diego Chargers in 2014.

Breida's overall Pro Football Focus grade of 90.6 was the best among all running backs during Week 2.

Wide receiver Pierre Garçon led the team in receiving with four catches for 57 yards.

Defensive lineman DeForest Buckner sacked Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, increasing his season total to 3.5. The sack came in 3.5 seconds, according to NFL.com's Next Gen stats, which was the fastest of the game.

Buckner also had a hit and three hurries against the Lions.

Cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon, who was pulled in the fourth quarter, allowed eight catches on 12 targets for 99 yards and two touchdowns.

Kicker Robbie Gould has connected on 29 consecutive field goal attempts, which is a franchise record.

Defensive back D.J. Reed's 90-yard kickoff return to open the second half was the longest since wide receiver Kyle Williams recorded a 94-yard kickoff return in 2012 against the Minnesota Vikings.
