The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 3 contest against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium and look to be on their way to getting back a big offensive weapon. Wide receiver Marquise Goodwin missed Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions after suffering a deep thigh contusion during Week 1 in Minnesota.

"He's going to be limited today," head coach Kyle Shanahan said before practice. "I expect him to go some, but he's still limited."

Linebacker Malcolm Smith has yet to take a regular-season snap with the 49ers since signing a five-year deal with the team on March 9, 2017. He had been dealing with a hamstring injury but practiced on Wednesday and did not appear on the injury report.

Safety Jaquiski Tartt left Sunday's game with a shoulder stinger and did not practice on Wednesday.

Below are Wednesday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Chiefs, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
