As if losing to the once-winless Arizona Cardinals wasn't bad enough (or on the way to losing at the time of this post), the San Francisco 49ers may be without running back Matt Breida for a bit. He left Sunday's game with an ankle sprain, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, and may "miss time."

The 49ers will drop to 1-4 on what has become a disaster of a season. Breida, who was once tied as NFL's leading rusher, finished the game with 56 yards on eight carries. He also had a five-yard touchdown reception.

Update: Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports that there is still hope that Breida will be available next Monday night against the Green Bay Packers.
