The San Francisco 49ers will hold one full practice this week as the team prepares for its Week 9 matchup against the Oakland Raiders on Thursday night. With it being a short week, the team had to change the schedule up a bit. Players will report to the 49ers facilities later each day than they would during a typical week of preparation with Tuesday's practice scheduled for a late start.

"My experience with these games that come so fast, and guys don't have the time to recover, the best thing for recovery is sleep," head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters during a Monday conference call. "So the guys who are injured have got to come in and rehab but everyone else, we're not going to see today. They're going to come in tomorrow.

"We're going to push it back a little bit more tomorrow morning just so they can sleep in a little bit more. I'll talk about this game (against the Arizona Cardinals) quickly at our team meeting, but we've got to move on to Oakland very fast."

Shanahan, quarterback C.J. Beathard, and defensive coordinator Robert Saleh are all scheduled to speak with the media on Tuesday.


Various players will be made available within the locker room after the press conference.
