The 49ers signed Bolden as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon State on May 4, 2017. Bolden appeared in four games this season and registered just one reception for 10 yards.

Mabin entered the league with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa on May 1, 2017. He spent time with the Buffalo Bills before being signed to the 49ers practice squad on October 18, 2017. Mabin was promoted to the active roster on November 1, 2017. He appeared in six games this season with one start and recorded 10 tackles and a forced fumble.
