- Activated safety Marcell Harris from the injured reserve/designated for return list.
- Activated linebacker Dekoda Watson from the injured reserve/designated for return list.
- Promoted cornerback Emmanuel Moseley to the active roster.
- Waived quarterback Tom Savage.
- Signed wide receiver Victor Bolden Jr. to the practice squad.
- Signed defensive back Greg Mabin to the practice squad.
- Released wide receiver Aaron Burbridge from the practice squad.
The 49ers waived Bolden and Mabin on Tuesday. Both cleared waivers.
San Francisco added Savage to the 53-man roster as a third and emergency quarterback on October 16. He was waived on October 20 before being re-signed on October 22. The move is a positive sign that quarterback C.J. Beathard, who has been dealing with right wrist and thumb injuries this week, will at least be active for Thursday night's game.
News of Harris' activation was first reported on Thursday morning by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The 49ers made him a sixth-round draft pick out of Florida in April. San Francisco placed Harris (Achilles) on injured reserve on September 3. He will wear number 36.
News of Watson's activation was first reported by Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area. San Francisco placed Watson (hamstring) on injured reserve on September 8.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made Watson a seventh-round draft pick out of Florida State in 2010. He spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots, and Denver Broncos before signing a three-year deal on March 17, 2017, with San Francisco.
Watson appeared in 14 games for the 49ers last season and registered eight combined tackles. He will wear number 97.
Moseley will wear number 41.
