Nick Mullens

Quarterback Nick Mullens completed 16-of-22 (72.7 percent) passes for 262 yards with three touchdowns and a passer rating of 151.9. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Mullens is the first player to throw for two-or-more touchdowns in his 49ers debut.


Mullens became the first Niner to throw three-or-more touchdowns in a game since Colin Kaepernick had three on November 27, 2016, against the Miami Dolphins.

Mullens engineered a six-play, 75-yard drive that resulted in a 24-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Pierre Garçon on the team's opening drive. He was 3-of-3 for 41 yards, including his first career touchdown pass.

Mullens tied the franchise record for the most touchdown passes by a player in his first 49ers start with three (Tim Rattay vs. StL — 11/2/03, Ty Detmer vs. Car — 11/8/98, Matt Cavanaugh at Phi — 9/23/84). He also set the franchise record for the highest passer rating (minimum 10 attempts) in his first start with the team (151.9) and ranks third for the most passing yards (262).

Mullens' 151.9 passer rating was the highest in a single-game by a 49ers quarterback since October 29, 2012, against the Arizona Cardinals (Alex Smith – 157.1). His average of 11.9 yards per attempt was the highest by a 49ers quarterback in a single-game since October 18, 2015, against the Baltimore Ravens (Colin Kaepernick – 12.9 yards per attempt).

Mullens was under pressure on just three of his 22 dropbacks, according to Pro Football Focus, and completed two of those three pass attempts for 86 yards.


George Kittle

Tight end George Kittle caught four passes for 108 yards with a touchdown. It was his second 100-yard game of the season (125 yards at LAC) and third of his career.

With his 71-yard reception, along with his 82-yard touchdown reception against the Chargers, Kittle is the first tight end in the NFL to have two receptions of 70-or-more yards in a single season since 1972 (Rich Caster, NYJ).

Kittle ended the game with the team's highest Pro Football Focus grade (93.0). His 490 receiving yards after the catch is 190 more than the next tight end (Travis Kelce, KC).

More Offense


Running back Raheem Mostert had seven carries for 86 yards including a career-long 52-yard touchdown run — the first of his career — before leaving the game with a broken forearm.

Wide receiver Kendrick Bourne had two catches for 6 yards with a score, which was his third touchdown reception of the season.

Rookie wide receiver Richie James Jr. registered career highs in both receptions (2) and receiving yards (60).

Defense

Defensive end Cassius Marsh registered a single game career-high 2.5 sacks and six quarterback pressures during 22 pass rush attempts. He now has 3.5 sacks on the season and 9.5 in his career.


Linebacker Dekoda Watson registered 1.5 sacks in his season debut and had six quarterback pressures in 13 pass rushes. He earned the defense's top Pro Football Focus grade (91.8) for the game. Watson's 1.5 sacks are a single-game career high. He now has 5.5 sacks in his career.

Defensive lineman DeForest Buckner brought down Raiders quarterback Derek Carr for a 5-yard sack. He now has 5.5 sacks on the season and 14.5 for his career.

Defensive lineman Ronald Blair registered a sack of Carr. Along with his single sack last week at Arizona, Blair has registered a sack in consecutive games for the first time in his career. He now has a career-high 3.5 sacks on the season.

Defensive lineman Solomon Thomas was credited with a sack, marking his first on the season and fourth of his career.

Key Team Statistics


The 49ers offense registered 405 total net yards on 54 plays (7.5 average). The 7.5 average yards per play were the highest by the team in a single game since November 12, 2017, against the New York Giants (8.17 yards per play).


The 49ers offense did not allow a sack on 22 passing attempts by Mullens. It marked the first time the team did not allow a sack since December 31, 2017, against the Los Angeles Rams (33 attempts by Jimmy Garoppolo).

The 49ers defense finished the game with eight sacks. It marked the 10th time since 1982 and the first time since January 3, 2010, at the St. Louis Rams (8) the team has registered eight-or-more sacks in a game. Five different players registered a sack and the defense was also credited with a team sack.

The 49ers defense held the Raiders to 140 net yards passing, the fewest allowed in a single-game by the team since December 3, 2017, against the Chicago Bears (85 net yards passing).

The 49ers tied the all-time series against the Raiders at 7 wins apiece. San Francisco has won four of the last five meetings.

San Francisco's 31-point margin of victory was the largest by the team since October 27, 2013 (42-10 at Jax).
