The San Francisco 49ers have re-signed quarterback Tom Savage to a one-year deal after waiving him on Thursday as part of several roster moves in preparation for the team's game against the Oakland Raiders.

Savage is back again with the 49ers after clearing waivers, the team announced on Friday afternoon.

The 49ers also officially placed both running back Raheem Mostert and cornerback Emmanuel Moseley on injured reserve. Mostert fractured his right forearm during Thursday night's game while Moseley exited with a dislocated shoulder.

San Francisco initially added Savage to the 53-man roster as a third and emergency quarterback on October 16. It was the first time of the Kyle Shanahan era that the 49ers carried three quarterbacks on the active roster. Savage was waived on October 20 before being re-signed on October 22.

Savage entered the NFL when the Houston Texans made him a fourth-round draft pick out of Pittsburgh in 2014. His best season came last year when he completed 56.1 percent of his passes for 1,412 yards with five touchdowns and six interceptions.
