Linebacker Reuben Foster, safety Jaquiski Tartt, and wide receiver Pierre Garçon have missed each practice this week. All three have been ruled out for Monday night.
Neither Foster nor Tartt played in the 49ers' last game against the Oakland Raiders after sustaining injuries four days earlier against the Arizona Cardinals. Garçon played against the Raiders after being ruled as questionable.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan said on Saturday afternoon that the bye week coming after Monday's game did not factor in the decision to sit Foster.
"If he could play this week, he would," Shanahan said. "The bye week will definitely help him. I'd be very surprised if he wasn't ready after that, gaining a week. I think he would have a chance to play next week (if there were a game) but he's definitely not ready to go this week."
Tight end George Kittle has been limited during each practice this week but will be good to play on Monday night.
Below are the official injury reports for the 49ers and Giants. Also included are Saturday's practice participation reports, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
