Safety Jaquiski Tartt and linebacker Reuben Foster returned to practice for the 49ers while receivers Pierre Garçon and Marquise Goodwin sat out Monday's session.

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan anticipated a healthy group of players returning to practice this week following the team's bye. That's good news for a team that has been plagued by injuries this season.

Safety Jaquiski Tartt (shoulder), linebacker Reuben Foster (hamstring), and wide receiver Pierre Garçon (knee) each missed last Monday night's game against the New York Giants.

"We anticipate getting them back to practice next week when we start," Shanahan told reporters the day after the game.

The 49ers held their first practice of the week on Monday at 11:20 a.m. PT. While both Tartt and Foster returned to the practice field for the lighter-than-usual bonus session, Garçon did not participate as anticipated. He has missed two of the 49ers' last three games.

Shanahan also said cornerback K'Waun Williams (stinger) and wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (head) showed no symptoms when rechecked last week after the game. There was initial concern that Goodwin sustained a concussion against the Giants, but he was cleared to continue playing before going down again with what appeared to be another head injury.

Goodwin was also noticeably absent from Monday's practice.

The 49ers are not expected to release a practice participation and injury report until after Wednesday's session. There will be no media availability on Tuesday.
