Head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters on Wednesday that wide receiver Marquise Goodwin remains excused from the team as he deals with a personal matter. There is no timetable for his return.
Wednesday injury notes:
- Wide receiver Pierre Garçon and guard Joshua Garnett returned to practice after missing all of last week and being ruled out against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
- Center Weston Richburg continues to nurse a knee injury. He went from being limited to a full participant last week.
- Linebacker Malcolm Smith, who was bothered by injury against the Buccaneers, was limited.
"It's the same thing he's been dealing with," head coach Kyle Shanahan said of Smith on Monday. "He has tendinitis in his lower leg. (He) came back from the bye week, it was bothering him all week. He tried to go for most of the first half, and then Elijah (Lee) took over in the second."
