Head coach Kyle Shanahan revealed to reporters on Friday that safety Jaquiski Tartt is headed to injured reserve. The move will become official on Saturday because the 49ers missed Friday's deadline. Tartt is the only player ruled out for Sunday and the only player on the team's official injury report for the upcoming game.
Tartt has been dealing with a shoulder injury (stinger) and was inactive the last two games. Rookie Marcell Harris gets the nod to start at strong safety. It also gives the 49ers the option to move rookie D.J. Reed back to free safety, Shanahan said.
Below are the official injury reports for the 49ers and Bears. Also included are Friday's practice participation reports, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
