"I have no problem with [recruiting players]," Sherman told reporters on Thursday. "I think this is a pretty attractive destination as is, but money is the best recruiter. I'll do my two cents."
Sherman was asked about Seattle Seahawks safety Earl Thomas and the possibility of a reunion in San Francisco for the two players. Thomas, like Sherman this past offseason, is coming off an injury. He suffered a lower leg fracture in September against the Arizona Cardinals.
San Francisco may seem like an ideal situation for Thomas, who comes from a similar defensive system. Sherman was able to step right into the starting role after missing much of this past offseason due to the rehab from his Achilles injury.
Signing Thomas would also bring some stability to the safety position. Defensive coordinator Robert Saleh pointed out on Thursday that eight different players have played safety this season.
"Earl Thomas can fit anywhere he wants to fit," Sherman continued. "Would I love to play with Earl Thomas III? Sure. I would love to. I'd love to have him back in the locker room. But I'm sure he'll have a plethora of opportunities, but I'm sure we're going to throw our hat in the ring."
The Seahawks made Thomas the No. 14 overall draft pick in 2010. In addition to his All-Pro selections, he is also a six-time Pro Bowl selection and Super Bowl champion. Sherman, who entered the league a year after Thomas, spent seven seasons with Thomas in Seattle.
