Brown removed any mention of the Pittsburgh Steelers from the bio, further distancing himself from his current team, which he seemingly wants no part of anymore. It used to read "Pittsburgh @Steelers All-Pro WR #AB84" but now reads "All-Pro WR #AB84."
Team president Art Rooney II said this past week that the team would not release the seven-time Pro Bowl selection. It is, however, willing to consider all other options. Rooney went as far as to say he can't envision Brown being with the team when players reconvene for training camp in July.
If the choice were Brown's, which it is not, it sure seems like the disgruntled wide receiver would love playing for the San Francisco 49ers. As he removes mention of the Steelers and unfollows the team on social media, he started following the 49ers and several of their players since the end of the regular season.
While Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that NFL execs believe the Steelers could get at least a second-round draft pick in exchange for the 30-year-old receiver, Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that Pittsburgh is expecting the bidding to include a first-round selection and will begin entertaining offers at the NFL Scouting Combine next month.
Brown even appears to be an art buff and posted this interesting portrait of himself and Jerry Rice. We'll let you interpret it for yourself.
H/t to Steelers Depot for the find.
