New Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello knows a thing or two about coaching quarterbacks. He served as the San Francisco 49ers' quarterbacks coach over the past two seasons, so he is very familiar with the team's staff.

Scangarello may be targeting a 49ers assistant to work with the quarterbacks in Denver. The Broncos are interviewing 49ers offensive assistant T.C. McCartney to be their quarterbacks coach, according to Mike Klis of 9News.

Update: The Broncos have reached an agreement with McCartney, who will become their quarterbacks coach.

McCartney has spent the past two seasons with the 49ers. He served as an offensive assistant at LSU in 2016 and entered the NFL coaching ranks in 2014 as a quality control coach with the Cleveland Browns.
