Linebacker Terrell Suggs is expected to become an Arizona Cardinal on Wednesday when impending free agents can officially sign new contracts. The San Francisco 49ers made a late push to sign him before Arizona ultimately won out, according to a report by John Gambadoro of KMVP-FM in the Phoenix area.

Suggs, 36, is a seven-time Pro Bowl selection and was named a first-team All-Pro in 2011. He returns to Arizona where he played high school and college football.

The Ravens made Suggs the No. 10 overall selection in 2003. He registered 34 combined tackles, seven sacks, six passes defensed, and a forced fumble through 16 starts with the Ravens in 2018. Suggs has recorded 846 combined tackles, 132.5 sacks, a safety, 60 passes defensed, seven interceptions, two touchdowns, and 35 forced fumbles through his 16 NFL seasons.
