Yee joined the 49ers Insider Podcast this week and shared that he is excited to see what San Francisco does this season with his client, Garoppolo, fully healthy. He also shared his thoughts on the organization as a whole starting at the top with CEO Jed York.
"I really feel this is an organization that is, without a doubt, on the rise," Yee told Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area. "They've got a group of executives and coaches that are barely entering their prime — not only good people but very intelligent people.
"That starts with the owner, Jed York, who I think is not only somebody who's intelligent and well-intentioned about winning, but he's really dedicated to bringing the franchise to the top of the mountain. He is driven about this.
"Then the executives that he's chosen, whether it's Paraag Marathe, John Lynch, and now Kyle Shanahan, you've got a group of really talented, dedicated, smart, driven people. For Jimmy to be in this environment is a big privilege.
"For me, on this end, I am invested in seeing the client succeed. And that's not just succeed financially, but they play to win. Jimmy's a driven competitor, and to be surrounded by this group of people, in this environment, with this type of locker room that they're building, I'm very excited to see how they do this year."
You can listen to the entire interview with Yee below. It begins at about the 6-minute mark.
