"The linebacker/special teams ace measured 5117 and 230 pounds, touched 36 inches in the vertical jump, 9-feet-10 and completed 25 reps on bench," wrote Pauline. "Strachan timed 4.75 seconds in the forty, 4.21 in the short shuttle and a super-fast 11.29 seconds in the 60-yard shuttle."
Strachan registered a career-high 91 combined tackles, eight for a loss, three sacks, and a forced fumble as a senior in 2018 after a knee injury limited him to just two games the year before. He recorded a career-high 15 combined tackles, including 13 solo ones, during a September 13, 2018 matchup against Wake Forest.
"Teams have had me work out at fullback, outside backer, inside backer," Strachan told reporters after the pro day. "Just showing versatility is very important."
Update: Pauline reached out to inform 49ers Webzone that the 49ers also administered their psychological test to Strachan, which is a good indicator that the team is genuinely interested.
