Update: The 49ers announced that the local pro day will start at 1 p.m. PT and is scheduled to last about an hour. Some participants will be made available to the media as they leave the field. A complete roster of the participants in the pro day will be made available on the morning of the event.
The local pro day will feature athletes from college programs in the area including Stanford, Cal, San Jose State, and others. Draft prospects from the Bay Area who played for college teams elsewhere are also eligible to take part.
While NFL teams are permitted to host up to 30 players for visits at each club's headquarters, those players are not allowed to work out for the team unless they are local prospects. Teams are allowed to host an unlimited number of local prospects, who do not count against the 30-player limit.

The 49ers currently have six selections in the upcoming draft, which kicks off on April 25 in Nashville, Tennessee. In 2018, the 49ers hosted 50 players at their local pro day, which was more than the 43 attendees the year before.
