Along with the hiring of Andy Dolich as the team's chief operating officer, the San Francisco Chronicle reported that 49ers owner John York would be stepping aside from much of the day-to-day operation of the franchise handing off those duties to son Jed.

As most fans know, Jed York has been leading the charge in the 49ers' negotiations for a new stadium.

However, according to Matt Maiocco of the Press Democrat, that move was denied by a high-ranking club official.

The team will be holding a major press conference at 1:30 p.m. announcing changes in the organization so fans will get more information then.
