With the NFL draft just three days away, the truth behind the rumors and smokescreens will soon be revealed. The latest is that the Arizona Cardinals, who have long been expected to draft Kyler Murray No. 1 overall, might pass on the former Oklahoma quarterback.

NFL analyst, insider, and radio host out in the Denver area, Benjamin Allbright, joined The Mighty 1090 in San Diego, California on Monday and discussed the recent rumors at the top of the draft order. He's not buying into the Cardinals' interest in someone other than Murray.

"Everything I've heard is (Arizona selects) Kyler Murray," Allbright said. "I know there was a report out there by somebody saying that they were considering taking (former Ohio State defensive end) Nick Bosa, but from what I understand and what I'm told, that's a smokescreen. The Cardinals are trying to get the Niners to move up one spot the same way the Niners got the Bears to move up one spot for a quarterback a few years ago.

"I suspect that (Cardinals general manager) Steve Keim is not going to out-Lynch John Lynch."

Bosa has been the projected pick by the San Francisco 49ers at No. 2 since the Murray-to-Arizona speculation gained steam. The Cardinals selecting Bosa would throw a wrench into the top of the draft order but still leave the 49ers with several options, including selecting former Alabama defensive tackle Quinnen Williams, former Kentucky pass rusher Josh Allen, or trading down with a quarterback-needy team.
