Wide receiver Deebo Samuel is preparing to enter his first NFL season. He has been impressed so far with the man who will be throwing him footballs in 2019, quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.

Garoppolo is returning from the season-ending ACL injury he sustained in late-September. Samuel joined NFL Total Access on Wednesday and discussed the San Francisco 49ers' franchise quarterback with Lindsay Rhodes, who asked how Garoppolo has looked this offseason.

"Great," Samuel responded. "He's looking pretty good. He's moving well, and things like that."

Garoppolo has received work during the 49ers' entire offseason program. He's gotten reps during everything minus 11-on-11 drills. Although, Garoppolo did take part in one practice snap with a full defensive lineup in front of him. He is expected to be fully cleared for training camp and be the 49ers' Week 1 starter against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on September 8.

What kind of impression has Garoppolo made on his rookie receiver?

"Every day that we're here, even though the vets are gone, he's still here," Samuel said. "He's here every day, all day, even during rehab. His daily routine, like before practice, you see he has the same daily routine; he gets the guys going. He's just ready to work every day coming into the building."

H/t to Levin T. Black for the heads up on the NFL Network appearance.
