49ers coaches and staff will begin preparations earlier that week for the players' arrivals.
The report date is six weeks after the conclusion of the team's mandatory minicamp, which ended with a team meeting on June 13. Players are currently enjoying a nice break before the rigors of training camp. Many players, like rookie wide receiver Deebo Samuel, don't view the break as a time to relax.
"We don't consider it as time off," Samuel recently told NFL Network. "We consider this as time to work, and come back in the best shape possible, and be ready to rock and roll when training camp hits."
Before the break, head coach Kyle Shanahan stressed to his team the importance of staying in shape over the long break.
"If you think you can just take 30 days off and stuff, you are going to be in such a rude awaking," Shanahan said on June 12.
The 49ers will announce their full training camp practice schedule, including any practices open to fans, at a later date.
