The 49ers made Wishnowsky a fourth-round draft pick out of Utah in April. He handled the punting and kickoff duties during the team's offseason program.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch received some scrutiny for using such a high draft pick on a punter when the team had so many other glaring needs. Wishnowsky was asked last month if his draft spot adds pressure to perform.
"Sure, but I put more pressure on myself than fans or coaches or anything like that," Wishnowsky said on KNBR. "I hold myself to a higher standard than anyone does. I don't think it necessarily changes the way I do anything. I can understand it."
49ers players are enjoying time off until they report to training camp on July 26.
