Injuries
Dee Ford recently received platelet-rich plasma injections in his knee to deal with the knee tendinitis that has kept him out of practice. Head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters that Ford would likely miss at least another week of practices.

Takeaways: Bosa continues to impress. He had a "would-be" sack and multiple pressures during team drills. Garoppolo connected with FB Kyle Juszczyk on a wheel route for a 30-plus yard pickup during team drills. DT D.J. Jones had several run stops.

49ers camp report: Nick Bosa sees increase in practice time and production
Takeaways: The 49ers increased the number of practice reps for Bosa. Bosa was constantly around the ball during team drills. Samuel caught a couple of passes from Mullens, including a throw down the right sideline that could have gone for a 41-yard touchdown. Sheldon Day and D.J. Jones are in a solid competition at nose tackle. Mullens was 13-of-15 passing. Beathard was 5-of-8.

49ers' practice report: Even without Ford, defense dominates again
Takeaways: LB Kwon Alexander stopped RB Matt Breida at the line of scrimmage on the second play of team drills. D.J. Jones stopped RB Tevin Coleman in the backfield. That forced fumble by Bosa came after getting past a Kittle block and hitting Coleman. Garoppolo had a well-placed 50-yard throw to WR Dante Pettis, which fell incomplete.

49ers practice recap: Garoppolo, Bosa stand out in competitive, spirited practice
Takeaways: Kyle Shanahan dialed up the first live two-minute drill of practice. Garoppolo got the offense in position for a winning field goal from Robbie Gould as time expired. WR Trent Taylor had another strong showing. Biderman calls Taylor arguably the "most consistent receiver throughout camp." The linebackers, led by Fred Warner, have been solid throughout camp. Garoppolo found Kittle and Taylor on both quick and longer-developing routes. He also hit WR Jordan Matthews twice on long routes.
Note: Reporters had vastly different passing stats for Garoppolo. Inman had the QB going 14-of-22. Maiocco had him 12-of-20. Branch had him 9-of-14. Biderman had him 14-of-21.
