Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, who initially reported the signing, has admitted to the blunder.
The original story is below.
Who would have thought you might, just might, get to see Richard Sherman versus Michael Crabtree again? Crabtree is back in the division. He signed with the Arizona Cardinals, according to Pro Football Talk.
Okay, it is doubtful Crabtree will be the Cardinal's top receiver so we probably won't actually get to see Sherman go against him again. Oh, and let's not forget that cornerback Aqib Talib is in the division too.
The former San Francisco 49ers wide receiver spent last season with the Baltimore Ravens after three seasons with the Oakland Raiders.
Crabtree had 54 catches for 607 receiving yards with three touchdowns in 2018. That was good enough to rank third on the Ravens in receiving last year. His last 1,000-plus-yard season came in 2016 when he registered 89 catches for 1,003 yards with eight touchdowns for the Raiders.
The 49ers made Crabtree the No. 10 overall pick in 2009, and he spent his first six NFL seasons in San Francisco. Crabtree has recorded 633 receptions for 7,477 yards with 54 touchdowns in his 10 NFL seasons.
H/t to Patrick Tulini for the find.
