Many NFL players try to transition into broadcasting. Sherman mentioned that, but also had another answer to add to it.
"It's either the broadcasting booth or general manager of a team," Sherman said.
The potential future GM said that he studies the game and can envision one day being a team's top decision-maker. He has certainly proven to be an intelligent individual, and that's not limited to the game of football. While many assumed he might head into coaching, it would not be surprising to see Sherman take the front-office route or anything else of his choosing.
Sherman, of course, showed off his coaching skills last offseason. He helped the 49ers coaching staff and worked with the team's young defensive backs while held out of practices as he recovered from his Achilles injury. It seemed like a natural down-the-road fit.
Added Sherman, "I don't know if I want to do coaching. I want to put a team together and manage it."
