Even better, if the 49ers make the playoffs, the team will paint the end-zone background red, as it did during the team's heyday at Candlestick Park.
The end zones don't appear exactly as they did last year and feature red in the letters of the team name and the NFC logo without the helmet. You can see a comparison of the end-zone design today compared to last season, as provided by Chris Biderman of the Sacramento Bee.
It's a nice look that's modernized just a bit yet still honors the franchise's rich history.
