The 49ers will hold a walk-through on Sunday, which is closed to the media, before Monday night's exhibition game at Mile High Stadium against the Broncos.
Tuesday's practice was not open to fans, nor will any practice be going forward.
Quick Notes
WR Deebo Samuel was excused from practice for personal reasons. His Instagram account indicates he might be back home in South Carolina.
DL Arik Armstead (calf), LB Malcolm Smith (hamstring), and RB Jeff Wilson (calf) returned to practice. Smith worked with the first-team linebackers.
QB Wilton Speight took his first snaps during team drills with QB. C.J. Beathard sidelined (see below).

Tuesday's Practice Reports
The following are in the order in which they were posted.
Grant Cohn, Santa Rosa Press Democrat
The good and not so good from 49ers training camp: Day 12
Takeaways: WRs Dante Pettis, Jalen Hurd, and Richie James made Grant's "good" list. As did TE Ross Dwelley, LB Fred Warner, CB Emmanuel Mosley, and QBs Jimmy Garoppolo and Nick Mullens. The "bad" list featured TE George Kittle and QB C.J. Beathard, neither of whom practiced, CB Richard Sherman, C Ben Garland, and WRs Deebo Samuel, who also did not practice, and Jordan Matthews. Pettis also landed on the "bad" list too.

49ers camp: Beathard thumb injury again could clear up QB race
Takeaways: Beathard's injury may hurt him in the backup QB competition. Garoppolo was 10-of-15 in team drills. WRs Marquise Goodwin and Pettis each caught touchdown passes from Garoppolo. Speight was 3-of-3 in red-zone drills. Hurd looked impressive and caught a would-be touchdown from Speight. He also caught two passes from Mullens in a four-play stretch. Tarvarius Moore remained the first-string free safety. RG Mike Person appeared to tweak his knee but finished the practice.

49ers camp report: C.J. Beathard's injury opens door for Nick Mullens to increase lead
Takeaways: Mullens was 6-of-9 passing. Pettis' 30-yard catch and run was his only reception during team drills, and it appeared to be due to blown coverage. Malcolm Smith stopped RB Tevin Coleman behind the line of scrimmage on a shovel pass from Garoppolo. Coleman also had a fumble, which LB Fred Warner recovered. T Joe Staley apologized to CB Dontae Johnson for a "devastating" blindside block. Matthews dropped an "easy pass" from Mullens near the goal line. Garoppolo threw a 10-yard score to RB Matt Breida with LB Kwon Alexander in coverage.
Chris Biderman, Sacramento Bee
49ers Practice Recap: Pettis breaks free, Hurd continues to produce
Takeaways: The starting offense spent much of practice working on incorporating the RBs. Coleman and Breida each had a touchdown with the first-team offense. Biderman reports that Warner's fumble recovery was off of Breida, not Coleman. DB Emmanuel Moseley intercepted Garoppolo in the red zone during one-on-ones while going against Pettis. RB Austin Walter had a touchdown following an impressive 20-yard Mullens to Richie Jomes pass. Biderman believes Garoppolo was 11-of-15 passing.
