Running back Jeff Wilson had 20 carries for 100 yards and a touchdown. Despite fumbling one time, fans loved what they saw from Wilson.
With the injury setback to running back Jerick McKinnon, Wilson had a strong game for the 49ers and made a case to keep at least four running backs with his 41 attempts and 178 yards and four touchdowns in the preseason.
Fan-favorite Kendrick Bourne had a case of the drops all preseason but would make up for it with key blocks and two nice touchdown receptions.
Bourne, who had six receptions for 87 yards and two touchdowns in the preseason, is fighting for a roster spot.
In the 49ers backup quarterback competition, C.J. Beathard, who played the entire first half, went 6-of-9 for 58 yards with a touchdown pass to Kendrick Bourne, while Nick Mullens, who played one series in the second half, went 1-of-3 for 13 yards.
Mullens, who played the majority of the second half in the third preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs, was 8-of-11 for 84 yards in that game.
49ers linebackers Mark Nzeocha and Dre Greenlaw are fighting for a rotation on the team and made a good impression with fans on social media.
Nzeocha, who was wearing Navarro Bowman's number 53, was flying around the field like the former All-Pro linebacker while Greenlaw continued to be a heat-seeking missile on the field.
The Dallas Cowboys selected Nzeocha in the seventh round of the 2015 draft where he played two seasons.
The 49ers signed Nzeocha on September 25, 2017, where he has played a total of 26 games including three starts during the 2018 season.
Greenlaw was drafted in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL draft from the University of Arkansas. He has been impressive all camp and in the preseason games.
49ers fourth-string quarterback, Wilton Speight, went 6-of-13 for 51 yards with two fumbles, which he recovered, and two costly interceptions including one in the final seconds of the game.
Speight played for former 49ers head coach, Jim Harbaugh, at Michigan from 2015-2017 before transferring to UCLA in 2018.
Joshua Garnett played 55 snaps in the loss against the Chargers.
Garnett, who has had an injury-plagued career since being drafted by the 49ers in 2016, is not projected to make the 53-man roster.
Since being drafted in the first round, Garnett has played a total of 22 games.
The 49ers will trim their roster to 53 players on August 31.

Sports has been my first love since I was 12 years old. At one point I wanted to play football professionally. I started to take photography as a hobby in my teenage years but this was when I followed sports. I started to listen to sports radio, I found my true calling and it was to be a sports talk show host. Though I follow football and basketball, I started to have a new love of cultures around the world. After graduating from San Antonio College in 2018, I worked for the Castroville News Bulletin before going to A&M San Antonio to get my communications degree. Since I have written for the Ranger of San Antonio College, the News Bulletin and the Mesquite of Texas A&M San Antonio, I met many people and went to a lot of events. My major milestone was being in the press box of the San Antonio Commanders game for the Mesquite and being apart of a press conference with the Medina County Sheriff and other local news outlets. When I am not doing anything, I like to watch old cartoons on the DC Universe, play video games such as Mega Man and the Mass Effect series. I have also created Youtube channel called "Anger Management" with my friend Aaron Donnell.
