The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for Week 1 of the regular season and on Monday kicked off one of four full practices this week. General manager John Lynch told reporters on Saturday that Nick Bosa and Jason Verrett, both dealing with ankle injuries, would return to practice this week as the team prepares to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Both did, and Verrett did so while wearing his new No. 27 jersey number.

Also on the practice field was cornerback K'Waun Williams, who is working his way back from a knee injury. The 49ers will wait to see how a week's worth of practice goes before determining his status for Week 1.

Wide receiver Jalen Hurd (back) is not practicing and his status for Week 1 remains up in the air.

"Jalen's situation (is) still kind of playing out," Lynch said. "He's having some back tightness; symptoms are getting better, but again, I think as this week goes on, we'll know more-so as to his availability."

Lynch already ruled out wide receiver Trent Taylor against the Buccaneers. He was, however, seen getting around on Monday without a walking boot on his foot.

Verrett isn't the only 49ers player to don a new jersey number. The following players all headed to the practice field on Monday with a different look.

Active Roster
LB Azeez Al-Shaair — 51
CB Jason Verrett — 27

Practice Squad
DT Kevin Givens — 90
OT Ryan Pope (officially signed Monday) — 71
DE Jeremiah Valoaga — 92
RB Jeff Wilson — 30
