While the San Francisco 49ers are without their starting running back (or, at least, RB1A), Tevin Coleman, the Cincinnati Bengals may have theirs on Sunday at Paul Brown Stadium. Joe Mixon, who suffered an ankle sprain during the Bengals' Week 1 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, could be available against the 49ers.

Mixon was listed as questionable on Friday's injury report. Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that the running back is planning to play against the visiting 49ers, but will test his ankle before kickoff to confirm that he can go.

Mixon did not practice with the Bengals on Wednesday or Thursday but was limited on Friday.

The 49ers lost Coleman to an ankle sprain, too. He is week-to-week with the plan to have the running back return after the bye week. Maybe sooner.

Matt Breida (RB1B) is likely to get most of the workload against the Bengals with Raheem Mostert sharing some of the carries. The 49ers also promoted Jeff Wilson from the practice squad on Saturday.
