Two San Francisco 49ers players find themselves nominated for Week 2 awards following the team's dominating 41-17 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has been nominated for the FedEx Air Player of the Week while rookie wide receiver Deebo Samuel is up for the Pepsi Rookie of the Week.

Garoppolo went 17-of-25 for 297 yards with three touchdowns, an interception, and a passer rating of 131.2 against the Bengals, helping lift San Francisco to its first 2-0 start since 2012. The quarterback is going against Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks and Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs for the weekly award.

Samuel caught five passes from Garoppolo for 87 yards and a touchdown while carrying the football twice for seven rushing yards. He is going against quarterback Kyler Murray of the Arizona Cardinals, running back Josh Jacobs of the Oakland Raiders, linebacker Jahlani Tavai of the Detroit Lions, and linebacker Chase Winovich of the New England Patriots.
