The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 3 contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

S Jaquiski Tartt returned to practice after sitting out Wednesday's session with a toe injury. Although, he was limited.

DE Dee Ford is still sidelined with a quadricep and knee injury. Head coach Kyle Shanahan was hopeful on Wednesday that Ford would be available against the Steelers this weekend.

"We're going to play it safe," Shanahan said. "We'll see here over the next two days, which makes me somewhat optimistic for the game. But we've got to play it day-by-day. It's something he's dealing with; feels better now than it did after the game on Sunday so, hopefully, that will continue."

On the Steelers' side, RB James Conner (knee) was a full participant after not practicing on Wednesday, which greatly increases the likelihood that he will play on Sunday.

Below are Thursday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Steelers, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
