Eisen famously runs the same 40-yard dash that prospective draftees run at the annual Indianapolis event. He does so to raise money for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and does so in his suit with running shoes on.
This year, Eisen was clocked by analyst Daniel Jeremiah at six seconds flat.
Kittle spoke with Eisen this week and was asked about general manager John Lynch, who he calls "Mr. Lynch." Lynch is 48 years old while Eisen is 50. The latter wanted to know why Kittle refers to him as "Rich" and not "Mr. Eisen."
"Yeah, I know, but Mr. Lynch doesn't run the 40 in a suit, so I can call you Rich, I guess," Kittle responded.
Kittle was asked if he is jealous that Eisen runs in his suit.
"Honestly, I'd love to race against you in the suit," Kittle answered. "It's one of my favorite things I've ever seen you do. I think that's the only thing I watch at the Combine."
That's when Eisen asked Kittle if he would like to set it up, assuming his contract allows for it. The tight end spends his offseason near Nashville, Tennessee, where he trains with 49ers quarterback C.J. Beathard.
"Hey, I'm not that far from Indy, so we can make that happen," Kittle said.
H/t to Patrick Tulini for the find.
