Starting left tackle Joe Staley returned to practice for the first time since suffering a fractured fibula in Week 2. He was limited to individual drills, but head coach Kyle Shanahan said there is an "outside chance" the offensive lineman could be in the lineup on Sunday against the Panthers.
Wide receiver Deebo Samuel (groin) and defensive tackle D.J. Jones (hamstring) were also limited after missing Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins.
